Pony Ride Birthday Parties

Make your birthday celebration unforgettable with a Pony Ride Party at Pine Trails Ranch! During these events, party guests enjoy guided pony rides led by our experienced instructors—no riding experience necessary. Since the ponies are led by a handler, guests don’t need to control the horse themselves, making this party format ideal for large groups or young children who may not yet have the coordination to ride independently.

For guests who show interest, our instructors are happy to demonstrate how to hold the reins and give basic cues to the pony, offering a fun and educational experience in a safe, supervised setting.

Pony Ride Party Pricing & Amenities

The cost for this type of party is $90 per pony used per hour (cash or check discount) and $93 per pony used per hour (credit card). The minimum charge is for one hour. The number of ponies used depends on the number of guests and how long each guest wants to ride. All riders wear protective helmets while riding. Riders should be at least 3 years old and under 140#. Our new covered party area is now available to rent as well for just $95. It has an amazing misting system that keeps you cool and comfortable all summer long!

Group Lesson Birthday Parties

Group Lesson Pony Parties at Pine Trails Ranch offer a more hands-on and educational experience, perfect for riders who want more than just a pony ride! In this party format, each guest is assigned a horse or pony and participates in basic horse care activities, followed by a safety orientation. Afterward, guests head to the arena for a beginner riding lesson led by a professional instructor.

Riders will learn foundational skills including mounting, walking, steering, and, if they are comfortable and ready, trotting. Depending on the group’s progress and the instructor’s discretion, a short trail ride may also be included for guests who demonstrate safe control and confidence in the arena.

This party style is best suited for guests aged 7 and up and is a great way to introduce children to the fun and responsibility of horsemanship in a safe, structured environment. The riders should be between 4 ft and 6 ft tall and weigh under 180#. Please let us know if we have anyone with any special considerations.

Group Lesson Pony Parties can accommodate a maximum of five riders per lesson. However, with multiple instructors available, we can run two groups simultaneously—allowing for 8 to 10 guests to ride at a time. For larger parties, additional riding sessions can be scheduled to ensure all guests have a chance to participate.
