What’s Involved in Leasing a Horse?
Leasing a horse at Pine Trails Ranch means enjoying many of the rewards of horse ownership—without the cost and responsibility of feeding, housing, or purchasing tack. All you need is a love of horses and a genuine desire to learn!
To lease, riders must be able to saddle their horse and ride independently, though our staff is often nearby to provide assistance if needed.
Whether you’re a novice or an experienced rider, we’ll work with you to ensure you’re matched with a horse that suits your personality, goals, and skill level. Our top priority is pairing you with a horse you can learn from and truly enjoy.
Students who lease—or own—a horse tend to progress significantly faster in their riding. Regular practice not only builds skill and confidence but also improves safety, especially in physically demanding disciplines like jumping.
