Leasing Program

Lease a Horse at Pine Trails Ranch

We offer a comprehensive and affordable monthly lease and half-lease program designed to give riders many of the benefits of horse ownership—without the full financial commitment. Leasing provides a unique opportunity to build a deeper relationship with a horse, far beyond what’s possible through weekly lessons alone.

Why Lease?

For Youth Riders:
Leasing encourages responsibility, independence, and self-discipline. Young riders learn to care for their horse, set personal goals, and plan their practice time. This fosters confidence and creativity as they discover ways to improve their skills and deepen their bond with their horse.

For Adult Riders:
Adults benefit from the stress relief and physical conditioning that regular riding provides. Horseback riding engages all major muscle groups, supports bone density through weight-bearing movement, and enhances balance and coordination. It’s also known to stimulate cognitive function, making it especially valuable for those with neurological conditions.

For Competitive Riders:
Leasing is strongly recommended for aspiring hunter/jumper and dressage riders. Regular, consistent practice is essential for building the strength, balance, and muscle memory required to maintain a safe and effective riding position. Like any sport, equestrian athletes need frequent, focused training to progress and compete successfully.

What’s Involved in Leasing a Horse?

Leasing a horse at Pine Trails Ranch means enjoying many of the rewards of horse ownership—without the cost and responsibility of feeding, housing, or purchasing tack. All you need is a love of horses and a genuine desire to learn!

To lease, riders must be able to saddle their horse and ride independently, though our staff is often nearby to provide assistance if needed.

Whether you’re a novice or an experienced rider, we’ll work with you to ensure you’re matched with a horse that suits your personality, goals, and skill level. Our top priority is pairing you with a horse you can learn from and truly enjoy.

Students who lease—or own—a horse tend to progress significantly faster in their riding. Regular practice not only builds skill and confidence but also improves safety, especially in physically demanding disciplines like jumping.
