Our Wonderful Lesson Horses

Levi
Arabian gelding born in about 2006. He was abandoned by a previous owner and came to Pine Trails Ranch to be trained and find a job. He started teaching and never left. He is responsive and patient and great with all sorts of riders from kids to adults.

Brit
15.3h sport horse mare. Brit has been with us since she was 10 months old. She is super kind and generous and has taught so many how to get around a simple course and go to their first shows. She will teach anyone who wants to learn.

Savior Fair
Morgan x Trakehner, gelding 16.3h. He loves to do the hunters! He was born here at Pine Trails and is such a sweet guy!

Champ
Thoroughbred gelding. He never wanted to run fast or be a racehorse. Hunters is his calling. He knows his lead changes and will teach you too!

Power Dancer (PD)
Briefly a racehorse, but her body was not holding up to such hard work. She came to Pine Trails to learn to be a lesson horse and has done a terrific job. She is semi retired now, but still teaches a few littles how to walk and trot.

Fluer
Another amazing daughter of our stallion Flirt. She is only 15.3h and is a Morgan and Trakehner. Fluer has taken so many to their first jumping shows and is great at her job. She teaches riders what it means to ride a horse who likes to get to work. She is never lazy and has beautiful movement. She has also given us three beautiful babies.

Bella is an imported German Hanoverian mare we rescued from a feedlot. She has amazing bloodlines, but when she got older, her previous owners decided they no longer wanted her and unloaded her at a feedlot. When people tell you that low quality horses are the ones who go to slaughter, don’t believe them! Bella is amazingly gentle and patient with beginner riders and has taught so many to ride, we are forever grateful we were told about her by a nice man and we rushed to bring her home.
